FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Ezloop Controller, Ezloop Display, pairing, playback, plans, and support.
What is Ezloop?
Ezloop lets you privately show playlists of videos and photos on screens you manage. Use Ezloop Controller on a phone or tablet to add screens, organize content and playlists, then use Ezloop Display on each screen so it plays your loop on its own. Your screens aren’t tied to one room or one Wi‑Fi network — pairing works over the internet.
Ezloop isn’t meant for blasting content to strangers’ TVs; it’s your paired screens linked to your account.
What does the Controller app do?
With Ezloop Controller on a compatible phone or tablet you can:
- Open your Ezloop account
- Pair new displays with a pairing code or QR scan
- Upload videos and photos
- Trim videos when your plan allows it
- Create and edit playlists, and assign them to one screen or groups of screens
- See how much your plan lets you use, and upgrade if you choose
Ezloop Controller is for phones and tablets, not TVs.
What does the Display app do?
Ezloop Display is the app or TV experience that plays your loop. It downloads what it needs when online, caches it on the device, and rotates through your playlist. If the internet drops briefly, playback can often continue using what’s already saved on that device until it can sync again.
Do Controller and Display have to be on the same Wi‑Fi?
No. They both talk to Ezloop through the internet. Pairing attaches a screen to your account in Ezloop—not to your home router. You could pair a TV at work and manage it from your phone at home, as long as both have connectivity.
What devices does Ezloop work on?
| Device | Ezloop Controller | Ezloop Display |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| iPad | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Android phones | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Android tablets | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Android TV | ✕ No | ✓ Yes |
| Samsung Smart TVs (Tizen) | ✕ No | ✓ Yes |
| LG Smart TVs (webOS) | ✕ No | ✓ Yes |
Installing Display on your TV depends on your TV brand and region—for example Samsung’s app store or LG’s Content Store. Check your television’s menus for installing apps.
How does pairing work?
- Open Ezloop Display on the screen you’re adding (TV, tablet, phone in display mode—however Ezloop guides you).
- Start pairing. You’ll get a pairing code (and sometimes a QR code).
- Open Ezloop Controller with your Ezloop account, enter the code or scan the QR.
- Ezloop attaches that screen to your account and the Display app moves on to syncing and playback.
Codes don’t stay valid forever. If pairing times out, start again on Display to get a new code.
I tried pairing / scanning the QR and it didn’t work
Try this:
- Get a fresh code — the old one may have expired
- Confirm both Controller and Display have internet
- If you scan a QR code, grant camera permission where the app asks
- Make sure you’re pairing from Ezloop Controller with the Ezloop account you want to manage that TV with
Still stuck? Email support@ezloop.app with what you tried (and approximate time if it helps troubleshooting).
Can I use my own photos and videos?
Yes, when your plan allows it—limits (how much you can upload, clip length you can trim, etc.) appear inside Ezloop, so check there for your current tier.
Does playback work without internet?
Sometimes. Ezloop Display is built to reuse content it has already downloaded. If you go offline, you may keep seeing your loop until the cached content runs out or the app needs something new from Ezloop—then playback may pause or show a reconnect message until the device is online again.
What are subscription plans?
Ezloop plans control things like how many screens, playlist space, upload limits, trim, and similar features—the details sit in‑app where you browse or upgrade. Paid plans unlock more than free.
How do ads fit in?
Ezloop Controller has no ads (no Ezloop ad inventory in the Controller app). Ads can appear only in playback on Ezloop Display, and only for accounts that still have ads enabled—typically the default free consumer plan. Paid plans such as PRO/MAX usually turn that off; confirm under My Plan in Controller.
On Display, when ads are on for your account, sponsored or house items may appear as normal playlist items in the loop—not banners on top of your clips. Mix and cadence may change over time.
Custom or enterprise agreements might configure entitlements differently; trust what My Plan and any written order say.
Measurement (Display, ads on): To count delivery, Display may request industry-standard ad tracking URLs (for example VAST endpoints). Those requests can reach third-party ad servers and carry ordinary network metadata (IP, timing, etc.) as summarised in the Privacy Policy (ads / programmatic sections). Accounts without Ezloop ad slots do not get those Ezloop-triggered ad placements on Display.
Subscriptions — cancel / renew?
Paid plans billed through Apple or Google renew and cancel according to that storefront’s subscription settings until you cancel there. Ezloop surfaces plan status after stores sync receipts—if billing looks wrong after a reasonable wait, contact support@ezloop.app with receipt details (refunds remain subject to storefront rules unless mandatory law requires otherwise—see Terms §4).
I paid or canceled—why hasn’t my plan updated yet?
Purchases sometimes take a minute to move through Apple, Google Play, or Stripe and then back into Ezloop. Try fully closing Ezloop Controller and reopening it.
If nothing matches what you bought after a reasonable amount of time, email support@ezloop.app with your receipt information so support can investigate.
Where is my stuff stored?
Your account, playlists, device list, and files you uploaded are processed and stored via Ezloop’s online services.

Troubleshooting at a glance
| What you notice | Things to try |
|---|---|
| Stuck syncing or “can’t connect” | Wi‑Fi or mobile data on; airplane mode off; reopen the app |
| Playback stuttering | Stable internet for first download; weaker networks need more buffering time |
| App closes or won’t open | Update the OS; update Ezloop from the store |
| Won’t pair | New pairing code from Display; check internet |
How do I get help?
